Previously, I’ve worked with other contractors and interior designer for other projects (Office & Home) but the whole working experience was very frustrating to say the least. Even though they were supposed to be the Project Manager for the renovation project, oftentimes I found myself having to step up and fill their shoes – else things will go haywire, or the project deadline will be extended indefinitely. Not forgetting to mention all the heart-stopping moments and all the precious time and money wasted… Thankfully, IH Design Lab was NOT one of them. Working with their Interior Designers, Mint and Sze was truly a refreshing experience – which was unlike any previous ones whom I’ve engaged previously. What sets IH Design Lab apart from the rest is that they are a systematic and well-organised Team with Professionalism as one of their core values. Having gone through several renovation projects myself and hearing different horror stories from my friends, I can safely say IH Design Lab is a REAL GEM in the highly congested renovation industry which is often plagued by many incidences of dodgy practices and unqualified individuals or companies with poor standards and bad service. Mint and Sze really know their stuff. The moment they received our Project Brief, they already proposed a couple of layout plans for our consideration – and that was even before we’ve even decided and confirmed that we are giving them the project! We can feel their sincerity. (This was unlike some of the other ID firms we spoke to for this project, which came across as ‘pushy’ or ‘salesy’) As this was the first time we were fitting out a commercial unit within the retail mall, we were initially worried. But Mint & Sze were able to guide us every step of the way – to navigate smoothly through the whole process – from submitting the various paperwork to the Mall Management, URA and SCDF - to giving us practical and well-considered advice for partitioning, tiling, electrical works, wallpaper and signage. What I love most is the fact that Mint and Sze are proactive in giving updates to their clients. Throughout the whole project, they kept us in the loop of things via regular phone calls and whatsapp video calls. There was no need for us to chase after them for stuff. They are also pretty hands-on people so we felt reassured knowing that they were at the project site to supervise the independent sub-contractors whenever any major installation work is carried out. From start to finish, the entire renovation process took us only 4 weeks. Even the Mall’s Ops Manager was most impressed with the speed of their execution. Professional, Precise and Prompt – these are the 3 words to sum up our working experience with IH Design Lab. Really thank God that we chanced upon them. Sze , Designer from IH Design left a deep impression in us from the first meeting. She did not try to entice us with offers or promotions to get us to sign a contract. Instead, she took much time and effort to get a thorough understanding of the current state of the property, gauge the project schedule and renovation timeline based on our requirements, and help us to better understand our renovation goals versus what is achievable due to existing HDB renovation guidelines and regulations. From the first meeting till the conclusion of the project, she has proven to be dedicated and fully committed. To accommodate our availability, she arranged for fewer but longer meetings to plan and confirm the renovation design and materials, which worked well for us. During each meeting, she gave practical advices and advocated functional design over pure aesthetics. Once the renovation went underway, she kept us well informed of the work progress and what will be done next. Despite her busy schedules, she made a point to reply our calls and messages quickly. We were promptly informed of any unforeseen circumstances and had sufficient time to discuss on the next best alternative without affecting the projected timeline. We worked with designer Sze IH design on our resale HDB renovation.She was great at listening to our vision for the house and also provided very good quality design ideas, which suited our lifestyles. She also very prompt and patient in responding to our long list of questions and always kept us updated of the progress with photos and videos. We are very glad to work with her and will definitely recommend them to anyone who wants a smooth, stress-free renovation process without any compromise on the quality.

Under the recommendation of an old friend, we had engaged Sze as my ID to do up the renovation of my unit .From start till end she had consistently provided me with good advice on important issues such as the choice of material and layout planning etc.She also provide us with 3D drawings to help us to have better visualisation. She had paid multiple visits to the site in order to better understand the nuances and discuss the project in greater details with us. We also wish to praise the workers who were very nice and helpful to accommodate my requests. Now we stayed in the unit for a couple of months and am very pleased with the end product. Our friend engaged Designer Mint of IH design to renovate her place. Needless to say, we were impressed with her work, so we asked our friend to refer us to IH Design .We are very happy with the final look and feel of our home. While she was really accommodating to our design changes, we really appreciate that she would sometimes advise against some of our design preferences. As first-time home owners, what we find on the internet and Instagram might not translate well in an actual living space for the long term with her expertise and experience, we were able to strike a good balance between form and function. She is great attitude and responsiveness maintained after handover, after final payment. We feel this is something that people take for granted. The "after sales support" by she continues to be great. We wrote this review more than a month after handover, and she is still very ready to help us. We'll definitely recommend IH Design to our friends who might be setting up their own homes.

As an excited first home owner, we have been very diligent in sourcing the right interior designing services to make sure that we are able to live at our dream home. We have chanced upon Mint and Kelvin at the initial ID shortlisting process while subsequently spoken with several other ID firms as well, however we have eventually engaged Mint and Kelvin given that both of them has set a very good impression to us because of their design ideas and professionalism. Mint is a responsible and creative ID. She came up with the theme and concept for my HDB flat and the end product looks fantastic! The best part of my house is the terrazzo toilet floor tiles as it’s very unique and received alot of compliments from my family and friends. We shortlisted Mint for the ID works for our resale property, based on our initial interaction with her. While prices were not the cheapest, she left a very good impression because of her sincerity and enthusiasm.
